My candle journey began once I made a horrific discovery that the candles I used every day contained harmful fragrances and chemicals that affect hormones and lungs. After a lot of research, I found science-backed data showing that beeswax can act as a natural air purifier and is much safer and healthier than other waxes, like soy. After a bit more digging and I discovered a line of fragrances that are not carcinogenic and don't contain hormone-altering chemicals. And voila! Sugar Mill Apothecary was born!
